This weekend's project crossed over into the sewing world... tater bags! These cute little bags are for cooking potatoes (and corn and bread and...) in the microwave! They're great! I will have these available in my Etsy store soon... Once I make a slight revision to make them better! What do you think?

new catalog sneak peek... cherish friendship
BTW...this is an older post but, for some reason, it moved to more recently...
I'm visiting my sister-in-law, Tara, in Birmingham this weekend. Yeah! We were able to get our hands on the new catalog and... WOW!!! We are so excited for it to be released!
Until then...
One of the many perks of being an SU! Demonstrator is being able to pre-order some of the new things from the upcoming catalog. Here is a card I just made using the new set "Cherish Friendship"...
I love to color so I knew I needed this set! I also love how this pops up!
More to come shortly...

Here is another card made with the "Cherish Friendship" set from the new catalog...
I am still in Birmingham (having to post using my iPad) so I will post all the supplies to this when I get back home.
Do you like this set as much as I do?

interest in pinterest
Amidst the craziness of our move to Chicago, I've managed to discover the highly-addictive "Pinterest" (thanks Tara!). Yes, I know I'm stumbling upon this little gem a tad late but, yippee!
So, much to my surprise...upon signing up and creating my boards I realized I had been pinned! It was such a little rush knowing I'm "out there". I know, I know, get a life Heather! But, you know, it's those little things!
Do you pin? If you happen to pin anything you see on my little blog, let me know! Email me your address and I'd love to send you a free handmade card as a little thank you for showing appreciation for my work!

Would you like to be a pinner? Leave me a comment with your email address and I can send you a Pinterest invite!
Join the fun! But don't say I didn't warn you...you'll get sucked in!
a whale of a onesie
I've been at it again...
My friend, Kelly, that I used to teach with just had a baby boy. I made her a onesie set before the baby was born (and before she knew what she was having). I didn't really like the one I originally made for her, so I decided to make a better one for her.
I had this whale fabric, though not much. But it was just enough to appliqué the whale and make the booties. I just love the grays in the fabrics, so modern!
This would be a really cute shower theme...are your wheels turning? I could even make custom invitations to match!
I'm working on a variety of sets to put in my etsy shop. Stay tuned!

everyday enchantment coffee cup card
Recently, Inking Idaho posted a tutorial on how to make mini coffee cup cards. They're so cute, but I prefer a larger, more standard-size card. So I modified and came up with these...
You can follow her same tutorial, but here are my modifications:
Cup
Cut a piece of Whisper White at 3 1/2 x 10 1/2 (score at 5 1/4)
Trim 1/2 inch diagonal
Cover in DSP and trim
Lid
Cut a piece of Whisper White at 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 (score in half lengthwise)
Corner round corners of opening
Cut a strip of 4 1/4 x 1/4 for the lip of the lid
Sleeve
Cut a 2 1/4 x 3 1/2 strip out of Crumb Cake
Run through the crimper
Assemble all pieces and, voila!

dare i say...auburn
My mother-in-law commissioned me to make a gift for a baby shower she was going to. The mother-to-be is having twins, boy and girl, and both parents attended Auburn University.
(My husband will NOT be happy with this post as he attended the University of Alabama)
I made 2 onesie sets in coordinating fabric, but opposite for each baby...
What did you think? Does your baby need to be outfitted for game day?
