another quilt in the making...
I was chained to my craft room all weekend making things for my upcoming events (more information to come soon!).
I finished another quilt top...
It's made from the line of fabric, "It's a Hoot" and the pattern called "Wild Thing". Love!
I custom make baby and lap quilts (I can do pretty much any size, just ask).

it's a shower
A friend of mine has quite a lineup of baby showers, so she asked me to make sets of baby gifts for her...
Sorry for the photo quality...I forgot to take pictures at home and had to take them with my phone while at school.
The onesies, burp cloths, and booties can all be custom made to your liking. These make great shower gifts. I can do themes as well. Hosting a shower? What about my handmade shower invitations with a coordinating onesie set as a gift? I can deliver locally in Cincinnati...or ship anywhere to you!
Interested? Contact me at blinginghomethebacon@me.com.

After spending almost three weeks in Budapest, Hungary in August and September (an absolutely AMAZING place!), things have been crazy and time has just gotten away from me. So sorry!
I have been hard at work in my craft room so I do have lotta to show you! Stick with me...I'm back, I promise!
My mom and I have been busy with our Big Shot monthly workshops...here's what we made in September...
I just love the "quilted" look! What do you think?

itty bitty
I made this card a few weeks ago... just forgot to share!
This card was made using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.
I just love these little punches! I added the little pearls to the
centers, tied off a ribbon, and added a little Smooch for bling!
Cute and easy, huh? No stamping involved!

where have I been?!
Wow! Where have I been? I can't believe it's been 3 weeks since my
last post... I've been such a bad blogger!
last post... I've been such a bad blogger!
I took some time off to re-group, planned our upcoming trip to
Budapest, Hungary... and attended the Stampin' Up! convention!!!!
Budapest, Hungary... and attended the Stampin' Up! convention!!!!
My mom and I spent a week in Salt Lake City and had a great time.
We went home with so many free Stampin' Up! goodies!!!!
Since we were both VIP's (we both recruited in the month of April)
so we got to go on a special tour of the Stampin' Up! home office,
see Shelly Gardner's office, and meet Shelly herself!
Those of us who were VIP's received a little goodie bag made
by Shelly and her daughters. They included Shelly's favorite
caramels and a roll of the new Ruffled Ribbon! She tied them
off with handmade bookmarks that she signed with her
famous (heart) Shelly!
Being a demonstrator has so many perks... like getting to go to convention
and seeing all the wonderful products, projects, and ideas!
Another great perk is that my upline's upline is Patty Bennett...
one of the top 10 demonstrators in the country!
If you sign up under me, you would be fortunate enough to be in Patty's
Luv 2 Stamp group. We finally got to meet Patty in person at the
convention. Usually we only get to speak via email (we're in
Cincinnati and she's in California) but we got to spend time
with her and see her win all of her awesome awards during
awards night. That was so inspiring to see!
Such fun! Wouldn't you love to join us next year?!
There are only a few days left to sign up and take advantage of the
July special... sign up for only $99!
Email me for more information or visit my Stampin' Up! website!

delicate doilies
I am so loving the new "Delicate Doilies" stamp set! It'll be available in
just a matter of days when the new catalog is launched!
The bottom card is similar to one I found on Splitcoast.
I need to find its original designer and I will post it.
Love this set... And there's an awesome matching background stamp!

flores suaves
The "Flores Suaves" set is in the Celebrando Creatividad catalog and I just love it! The butterfly is so beautiful and I love the little script background that it also comes with.
It was a lot of work to cut out each butterfly but I think it was worth it!
I also added lines to them with a glitter pen and sprayed the entire card with
Vanilla Smooch. And don't you just love the seam binding ribbon! Love!
Thoughts?

sewing again
Here are some more of the little bags I've made this week...
I love the fabrics... They are laminated cotton so they are easy to wipe clean!
chic boutique for mom...& a deal for YOU!
My mom's birthday was in the middle of May... here is the card I made her.
It was made using the "Chic Boutique" stamp set, which I love! I'm so bummed that it's being retired! Do you NEED to own it to? Place a $50 order with me now and I will send you a copy of the NEW catalog on July 1st when it launches! What a deal!

When I was in Birmingham visiting my sister-in-law we made little corner
bookmarks using the "Bugs and Kisses" stamp set. I'm sad it's getting retired!

quilts galore!
So my new addiction is quilting! I have never been formally taught how to quilt...I've just picked up the basics over the years and finally started producing thing other than just in my head! I will be listing these in my Etsy store so let me know if you would like one that I've made or would like me to make one custom for you!
Wait until you see all the beautiful fabrics that will be offered in the new Stampin' Up! catalog! Yummy! I can't wait to get my hands on them and make a quilt out of those!
save the date
My friend Nicholas and his beautiful soon-to-be wife, Mallory, asked me to make their save the date cards for their wedding next year. I used all Stampin' Up! products and gave them 4 prototypes...
The following is the one they chose...
They will be getting married on Bastille Day, so they are using a French theme for their wedding. It's also fitting that Nicholas happens to be a French teacher!

retirees gift card boxes
Last month we hosted a breakfast for the teachers retiring from our school. Since I'm on the Staff Relations Committee, I made all the boxes to house their gift cards. They were a hit!
My mom found a tutorial online on how to make them. I will get it from her and post it...
Don't you love them?!
And I think their cake turned out cute, too!
